best budget gaming laptop

best budget gaming laptop

If you are looking for a good gaming laptop for less than $500 a month, this Dell XPS 15 can show you how much gaming potential you can get. Not only that, but you don’t need to go the extra mile to grab it as a gaming laptop (which is still highly recommended for gamers) — you can’t really go wrong.

We’ve already looked at the $2000 Dell XPS 11, but today, we’re discussing another option that’s also a very solid budget laptop that also lets you play some good games. Dell’s latest laptop, the XPS 15, starts at $449 for an 11.6-inch version, and that’s not even including the battery. How do you get your hands on such a great gaming laptop for less than $500?

Dell claims that its XPS 15 is the world's most powerful 17-inch gaming laptop on the market, and there’s definitely plenty of evidence that it is. At the moment, this laptop is $75 cheaper than last year's model, so even if you’re going for the “fitness-minded” part of gaming, you’re going to find lots of other good reasons to justify buying this model.

If you’re looking for a laptop with a 14-inch display, this XPS 15 is another fantastic option with a $200 price cut on its list price. The price cut isn’t just for the extra slots and ports, but also for the improvement of its battery life. Most laptops on the market only last for about 6 to 8 hours on a single charge, but the XPS 15 can actually last for hours and hours. You might want to check the stats in the XPS 15’s specs page to see just how much better your performance is, but it has the port selection to last.

The $499 XPS 15 is just $50 shy of other excellent gaming laptops on the market, like the Lenovo Legion 2060. This laptop is $750 if you want to get it in gray, so if you’re looking for a really good gaming laptop, this is definitely worth considering.

We’ve been looking at cheaper laptops lately, but if you’re looking for something different from that for a couple of hundred bucks, there’s really only one potential option in gaming laptops: Dell’s XPS 15.
